Federer's carear pioneered in 1998-2002 when he got noticed on several ATP tournaments. Although he didn't win all of them, when turned 18, his victories put him in the world's top 10 tennis players. The big turning point in his life came when, in 2003, Federer won his first Grand Slam singles title at Wimbledon, beating Mark Philippoussis in the final. Eversince he has won couple of Grand Slams, and finally reached his best season, 2006. Federer won 12 singles titles and reached the finals in an outstanding 16 of the 17 tournaments he entered during the season.

In 2016 Federer had to overcome a really serious knee injury, and had no other choice. He had to miss several tournaments, and was unable to participate in the olympic games. Fans thought that the Federer era has come to an end. But then, the miracle happened. In 2017, January Federer played in the Hopman cup, and Australian Open. At the Australian Open he beat top-10 players and after a really tough semi-final against Wawrinka, he reached the top 2, being the oldest man ever participated on a Grand Slam final. Finally, defeating Nadal led him to win the Australian Open again, setting his 100th Australian match as a record. And this is not the end! Federer decided not to play on clay, due to his recovery has not been finished yet, however he played on grass, his favourite type of court at Wimbledon. Without anyone to stop the "old" man, Roger Federer won his mind-blowing 8th Wimbledon title, and all together recieving 19 major Grand Slam titles, and broke all records in tennis histroy.

Many say that Federer plays the most beautifull tennis, in a really modest and elegant way.
